The gift of Ada

Today we have an excellent in-depth knowledge of Italian author: the poet Ada Negri.
The events of her life have mostly fond of the class.
Here is the text that we have come to appreciate: Continuing with the analysis I'm sure going to surprise. The gift

(Ada Negri)
The gift of that Almighty
day to day and from year to year you expect or
life (and through it, you know, I was gently
also crying), it was: not yet come.
each dawn that grows I say, "Today it is" every day that sets
I say
"It will be tomorrow. "Scrolls
while the river of my red blood to his mouth: and perhaps
the gift you can give me, the only
it's worth, or life, is that blood will flow
this secret in his veins, and beat
wrists and have light eyes, and love you because you're only
life.

We tell Dr.Morgue on the fumettodautore.com

interview and presentation by Alessandro Bottero Dr.Morgue the mini-series for the online magazine "fumettodautore" at this LINK also find a preview with the boards of the number 0 and some sketches.

Doctors, Morgue, Canada, and comics galore! Interview with Silvia Mericone Poretto and Rita, author of Dr.Morgue, one of the miniseries Star Comics, which will debut in spring 2011.
Alessandro Bottero

Spring 2011 promises to be rich surprises for the newsstands. For the three Star Comics, a new series Aurea, and who knows what other news to come soon. Since we have already talked about here NOX, a Star of proposals, we said, "Well, the proposals are three, why not replicate with the other two?". So here is the first interview with the authors of Dr.Morgue, the miniseries that will speak to the coroner, Canadian, case reports, and cataclysmic catharsis!

Silvia Mericone Porretto and Rita. It's time to reveal all about you. Who are you, what you do, because you do, you run and why?

Rita: my name is Rita, study and write comics and you were misinformed, I do not run, walk up to, but more often stop.

Silvia: submit myself ... oh my God gives me the impression of being at a meeting of Alcoholics Anonymous or a group session, we say that a person is abnormal, so once we exclude the group therapy. Never run, stay back more often, but I draw inspiration from the philosophy of Carmelo Bene Blessed are the last to remain behind, as the former are unreachable.

Dr.Morgue about a very strong argument: death. Why? Tell us three good reasons why player X should I trust him.

and Silvia Rita: death affects the perception of a person's life for the simple fact of being born, so we wanted to approach this subject from the perspective of one who touches her hand ... and not just a metaphor. Somehow the professional track of who investigates the death suggests that it is easier to die than to live, even for the Dr.Morgue.
And this brings us to perhaps the main reason for originality ... Yoric the protagonist is an ordinary man with many limitations, it has a syndrome that makes it difficult for the codification of the world, people and emotions, sometimes even those actions that a "normal" (defined psychiatric disgusting) are quite obvious. We also assigned to various consultants for a draw at best "ASPI", ie a person with Asperger syndrome. And despite the poetic license necessary that we took, we believe it is unique in the Italian comics scene, but not the syndrome itself, but for the choice of creating a character so fragile and "difficult" because the relationship that is going to Player-created between Yoric is the complicated relationship that is created between Normal-diversity, as both terms are odious. This is a double edged sword because the Dr.Morgue can be successful and daring for some, but it can also affect the process of identification of the reader, who identifies more nicely with the perfect pseudo-characters, illuminated by the quality and timely sensibility.
In all this we can not exclude "the father chart" of the series, or Frank Bonanno, who has made a vital contribution to make the most of Dr.Morgue and its atmosphere, often inspiring the character of the characters based on the face he was able to give him.

What is your "method of script," or to put it in a nutshell ... how do you write stories?

Rita: After a careful and often long period of study extends the subject, it goes to treatment, the next step is a chunking that gradually becomes a scanning table, and finally, we proceed by setting the table to table what happens. It's all very progressive, but never Apart from the work of documentation.

Silvia: How do we write stories is a question that many people do ... but the basis of the creative process is very simple and smooth as Rita said. The problem is "when" the writing in which they occur efferatissimi quarrels and generally those of the two survives completes the work.

Dr.Morgue is set in Montreal, Quebec City (Canada). Why such an unusual setting? It was not You can set the mini-series in Taranto?

Rita: Montreal is the city that best meet our needs. It is a very lively and modern metropolis, and particularly rich in ethnic traditions, which also lies in a densely populated Italian American community, yet has that "European" dimension that reminds us of the most beautiful capitals of the continent.

Silvia: In not set in Taranto we were far-sighted, given that for some months now there is nothing to speak of this city for a specific piece of news ... we would have blown the surprise. The main reason for the choice of a Canadian city is that the work or Death Coroner Investigator in Italy is not covered. The Coroner can not only handle the investigation of violent crimes, but also organized a team of investigators and the judiciary in Italy is given to other executives. In Italy there is the medical examiner that works for all purposes in a hospital and was asked by the public prosecutor or by the Health Department to conduct an autopsy. In countries with U.S. and Canadian but there is a complex system that runs from Cape Coroner, the Coroner investigating, the Medical Examiner, to the pathologists, and all have a scientific basis ... is a top-down structure that not only understand how much difference there is in management of a murder in Italy and other countries, but also how different the culture of crime, from the much-vaunted "crime scene".
An editor there told her to set the story in Caracas, Caracas only because, as he is the perfect place for an noir ... still we wonder why.

Apart from those who write you, read other comics? And if the answer is yes, which ones? But most of all ... because you read them?

Rita: live among piles of comic books, comics transhipment of my closets, my books are struggling with the comics to keep their place in the library. I read comic books because I can not do without and anyway ... I say the hell with what I read, you do not advertise the competition!

Silvia: would be easier to say which comics "I do not read and why. Let's say that I prefer comics that do not rely on retailers because, perhaps because of this size almost independently, enjoy greater creative freedom and a strong innovator. A purely personal level I have a passion for experimentation, for the sudden anti-classical, but also for the comics of the early sessanta.Tuttavia my love and fascination total undisputed go

Commissioner Spada ... What do you think of the Internet, and Natural Born Critics, who swarm to the network? People who do not know how to put together a main clause and a subordinate, who dissected the comics written by others. What is really the communication on the Internet?

Rita: think that the Internet has remained, for better or for worse, the last place where we can give an illusion of freedom, so anything goes, everything should be fine, if not the illusion vanishes. Add a suggestion which I think very true and universally applicable: it is better not to take themselves too seriously.

Silvia: this question would open a very long speech, but you can make an account like this for all the literary field, also for the publishing fee, which has cleared through customs, the concept of publisher and editorial staff, allowing everyone to believe that writers without proper background behind. With the Internet, with blogs, etc.etc. all have become critical, investigators, spin doctors, but very rarely fewer readers and especially students. "Criticism" does not tie in more with the "critical conscience", unfortunately ... the etymology of the word says that criticism should be judged according to the principles of truth, goodness and beauty, everything else belongs to mere personal opinion.
certainly does not require that all develop the skills to be a literary critic, or that do not express your liking, you do not need to be a Nobel prize for appreciation or love a book or a comic book and say about things relevant. What we tolerate less is the tendency to make all "latinucci" of the situation, but it's even worse for me when the author is a latinucci ... as they say: culture is the jam coma, the less you have, the more the smear.

Silvia Mericone Porretto and Rita in five years. Imagine that the future for both of you as writers?

Rita: guess, I hope, dreams and absurd to suppose? I'm sorry, but they are unreasonably superstitious, I prefer not to answer this question.

Silvia: not ask for much, enough for me that there is a future ... which would mean at least be alive.

We are at the end. The last few seconds to convince the famous player distracted "to give it a chance Dr. Morgue. What you say?

Rita: I sincerely believe that the reader can not give a care less of my observations. A player does not affect you, take a roll in his hand, and if the dough is left intrigued, buy it.

Silvia: would not be able to convince anybody, I would feel uncomfortable as if you were sponsoring the new fiction by Gabriel Garko ... here is a useful argument (but not) could be that it is not Yoric Gabriel Garko, in every sense.
