Evacuation Drill Checklist

completion of the eighth lesson: third "hand"

goal is to flesh out the subject with an extra "hand" of painting in order to eliminate color transparencies, cover the parts can still be seen where the lines of design, mark the dark areas and highlight detail. Resume
the canvas we have had at least 24 hours (preferably 48) that should be thoroughly dry.

With this third "hand" can be seen the final work, which in fact is more similar to the original landscape, lacking the last we will see in Details of the next lesson.
Of course, we will repeat the mixing of colors, always the same (white, gray, and the blue of the sky) that even at this stage should be diluted with a little turpentine (which can also be replaced with a good thinner ).
Our "Palette", can be completed with the addition of another color, dark brown (burnt sienna) and mixed with dark green and cadmium red, will highlight the most dark parts in the foreground and the dark side of plants (balcony on the right).
Let dry for at least 24 hours.
For those who test themselves for the first time oil painting, remember that the more color mix, give more body to the subject, at the same time, the more it becomes difficult to operate corrections (so-called-pentane), which is why the board to dry the canvas for good and not in a hurry for the final result of the work.
