Wedding Response Card With Food Options

sixth lesson: basic colors on the canvas and the first draft

goal is to fully cover the canvas with the base colors is a first stage of color where the dark side is highlighted by the clear and the groundwork is laid for the midtones. I will try to use plain language and understandable.
follow the order:
1) We continue our canvas, after having done well to dry for one day, arrange the colors needed and decide on the brushes mixtures. Basically
study done on our image to be played there:
a) walls in white and some in gray
b) the road and steps shall have a darker shade of gray;
c) we have other small variations in shades of gray, like the bow on top and the first recess of the door on the lower scale on the left;
d) Finally, the dark green plants and clay pots.

2) proceed after having squeezed from tubes on the colors chosen on a common dish of plastic that will become our palette that.
I am against the use of linseed oil, prevents the color from drying out quickly, plus the existing colors can be easily diluted with turpentine alone that we will use as the only solvent, but with our aquaragia puliremo our brushes.

3) Let's paint the walls of the houses in the first place in the sun, utilizzaremo our flat brush and mix two white, one zinc and one titanium (I recommend the use of white mixed uses most of the properties of the two white)
4) with the addition of Prussian blue with little white, we paint the sky, do not worry if you see the lines of the drawing, This first phase is the basis for the next step in color.
5) with the cadmium red as the Prussian ble more white mixed stir until the shades of gray that interest us and we paint the walls of the houses in the shade.

6) finally, with a dark brownish green, always diluted, we cover areas relatve plants and mixing them with red and blue to highlight the darker parts of the windows and the central door. Now let our
dry cloth for at least 24 hours ....... advice, with "Painting" in no hurry.

photos end result
